KeymasterThat is a nice looking site. For the time being, I am planning on limiting page content to weather info and webcam images with links to things like forecasts and road conditions (like at the top of this page).
I hope to be able to start producing some sample graphics layouts in the next week or so.ottawa
ParticipantI find the “Arnold Weather.org” website has the more useful and attractive format. Thanks

ParticipantFound dog this morning on Dardanelles Vista. Very friendly. No collar although it looks like he’s been wearing one. Post and describe if you’re looking for this sweet guy.

ParticipantThis is what I understand:
Taxes are deductible, Fee’s which this is, are not deductible.
On your bill it is “Fire Prevention FEE”
Confirm with your accountant.

Participantjr, at the risk the IRS reading this forum, I write off my fire fee, it’s a property tax no matter how it got passed.
I can only hope that some of the tax is actually going to fire prevention.

ParticipantTack it onto PG&E’s bill for the Butte Fire.

ParticipantYes, I received the first of 3 fire tax notices yesterday, as well. So now, on top of income taxes, 3 property taxes, 3 fire taxes, and a host of other annual payments due in April, it’s going to be tight. Does anyone write theirs off for income tax purposes? Just wondering.

KeymasterWe didn’t have a fire all winter…
The fire prevention fee seems to be working.

ParticipantI’m still not sure what benefit we get from this. It seems perhaps this provides a lot of administration salaries and not much tangible result in the field.
