ParticipantAny suggestions for a carpet cleaner for our house?

ParticipantIf I remember correctly, the hwy 4 re-paving was interrupted by early fall/winer rains. The line striping was poorly applied and faded almost immediately.

ParticipantI got approval from the BTV Association before building my 8X10 shed. I just submitted a lot plan with the house and shed locations. No problems, no fees. I did not contact the county.

ParticipantI wouldn’t be too surprised if it does happen, or at least partially happen. I started noticing the sinking about three months ago and it seems to get worse every time I drive up the road from Arnold. I honestly thought my engine was misfiring at first. Kind of felt like the engine was “surging” coming up. Took me a while to figure out it’s the road, not my truck.
And did anyone notice how long the centerline paint lasted? What, six months tops?
BTW, Asphalt, not Asphaly! 🙂

ParticipantBTV wants a permit for “any” shed. But they don’t (and can’t) enforce that. If you build it within county building code specs, you shouldn’t have any problems. If your lot is level or you level a section for a shed, Tuff Shed or other shed builders can usually build one in a day.

KeymasterI’d suggest you get in touch with a local contractor. If you don’t want to go through the building permit process (and fees) I suspect that the limit will be Calaveras County building code, not Big Trees Village.

KeymasterHopefully THIS doesn’t happen!

ParticipantAnyone else noticed coming up the hill from Arnold in a truck (or maybe a car) with fairly stiff suspension, it feels like the engine is mis-firing? The new asphalt has sunken in several places, causing this “illusion” of the engine misfiring. I’m attaching a photo that was taken between Camp Connell General Store and Ottawa on Highway 4. The photo is poor quality because I had to digitally zoom in (crop) to see the sunken asphalt.

ParticipantI heard it was 10 x 14 (140 sq feet) but I wouldn’t count on that information. I’ve never actually seen it in writing.

ParticipantI used Don Parr Roofing a couple of years ago, and very happy with the result and the cost. Composition shingle, about $4000 on a 12X12 pitch roof.

ParticipantIn regards to diashyn’s list of folks that do lot clearing, I have an update.
I called Frank Stone’s number an the nice person on the other end said that Frank does not clean lots any longer and they referred me to Gonzalo Barbozo at 209.822.8204.
Jayme Velardi is no longer cleaning lots, as emailed to me by Rayna.
In the event anyone is keeping a list…
Thanks diashyn for the phone numbers.-
