Just to give you an idea as to the magnitude of the problem…
In the first day of the new site launch, I had to personally weed through over 100 spammer registration requests. In the last couple days, since installing some security tools, almost 700 spammer registration requests have been blocked automatically. I’ve still had to deal with a few who snuck through, but a few is a lot better than 700!
In addition to the spam registration requests there’s another tool that gives visibility into who and how often people are trying to snoop around files where they have no business, log in as people who they are not, or even try to make fake logins.
Too bad there isn’t an international agency to find spammers and hackers and find something productive for them to do.
