    Wow- he was famous. I’m pretty sure I talked to him on the phone when he was a guest on KGO radio in the 70s. My mom knew I had an interest in radio and told me to call in. I think I asked for a qsl card. I might still have it around the shack. I didn’t get my license until ’92. Thanks for the info!

    Hi K6OAK,
    You must be a ham operator! My wife’s father was Bill Orr, W6SAI, and he was well known in the ham world. He died in January 2001. 73s
