ParticipantYes, we are very happy with our gutters, which are two years old now. They work exactly as advertised! I looked at our bid and it came out to about $25 per linear foot (gutter plus downspouts combined.)
Good luck!

ParticipantAre you still happy with the Byers Leaf Guard gutters? I found that they are very aggressive in their selling. They won’t give a quote unless you are present at the location. How hard can it be to do an external measurement and give a quote without my presence? But maybe these are worth it?
I’ve heard the general price range is $20 to $30 per linear foot. Is that about what you hear for Byers?
thanks

ParticipantAnyone have recommendations for roof repair. My chimney is not flashed properly.

ParticipantJust a point of clarification. There are many products out there that you add to your existing gutters to be leaf guards. However Byers Leaf Guard gutters are a total gutter replacement. The system keeps pine needles out and, at least for me, has never clogged in five years.

ParticipantWe installed Byers LeafGuard gutters 18 months ago. They are pricey, but work perfectly, even with pine needles. We will never, ever clean gutters again. Ever. Look on their website to see a video of how they work. Highly recommend them.

ParticipantI have looked at leafgaurds for my gutters for years but did not think they would work to keep out pine needles.
Any other ideas our there?May 11, 2016 at 7:46 pm #4336fourni1
ParticipantThanks Carl. I’ll look into those.

ParticipantI had issues with my regular gutters too. After way too much hassle I installed Byers Leaf Guard gutters five years ago. Gutters work great. No more clogs. No more issues.

ParticipantAfter 20+ years of struggling with gutters and downspouts, collapsing ceilings from the lakes created on the roof by melting snow & frozen gutters, then climbing up twice a year to install electric melters, then take them down, we finally acknowledged that it was a mistake to have installed gutters in the first place and had them taken off.
