ParticipantNovember 10. I’m up here now. The smoke isn’t too bad. I hear there are off shore winds tomorrow, so air quality should improve. I live in Pleasant Hill, and the smoke is bad there.

Participant…any smoke up there from the fire near Chico? The bay area is really bad.

ParticipantI was there on Thursday, Aug 23. The smoke wasn’t bad.
The fishing at Lake Alpine was bad. Lots of fish on the fish finder, but they wouldn’t bite. Caught 1 small one.

ParticipantToday a vast improvement over yesterday, at least here in Snowshoe Springs. Slight haze compared to dense smoke conditions yesterday AM.

ParticipantMornings tend to be hazy, depending on the wind direction, but have not been smoky per se. if you don’t have AC, as most do not, bring up a box fan, set it in an upstairs window, and it will force out the warm air out of the hous. We did that last night, and it was Very comfortable. A cheap box fan acts like a whole house fan. Works! Close the house up in the am. It works! Nature’s AC. Enjoy your days in and around water. The temps at the alpine lakes should be perfect.
