Gas powered motors are allowed on Lake Alpine but there is a 10 mph speed limit. Most motors there are electric.

Yes, power boats are allowed on Lake Alpine. I see them all the time. I use an electric trolling motor, but gas powered are OK.

Are power boats even allowed on Alpine?

That’s pretty good sized boat., but I’ve seen people launching at Spicer. They will have to back up quite a bit to get it to float. Watch the depth finder! The lake get shallow in places. Talk to Bill at the sporting goods store.

Lake Alpine might be a better bet. It was nearly full when I was there 2 weeks ago. The ramp and dock can be used.

Some friends want to bring their 22 ft. Bass boat up. Can we get that out onto Spicer or would it be best to head back down to Melonies? Anyone?
