Here's an update on Lake Alpine as of today, May 25th, 2010... Oh, and by the way, they're due for another 6 to 10 inches of snow over the next day or so .  Bring your snowshoes rather than your kayaks.  It's still snowbound and pretty much completely frozen over.

Well, this is what spring is like at Lake Alpine... Whoops, maybe not quite spring yet.

This was taken where the road down to the boat ramp should have been... Instead, there's just a little carve out big enough for one or two vehicles.  As of 5/5/10, the lake is still mostly frozen over and the only parking plowed is at the east end.  While the lake is mostly frozen, it is definitely not safe to walk on so please don't become a statistic.
